Thou Mayest - your path. your choice. your healing.
Your healing journey starts here
Taking the First Step
We know reaching out for therapy can feel scary or overwhelming—and that’s completely normal. At Timshel Counseling, you’re not alone. Each therapist is here to guide you, answer your questions, and make the process as simple and comfortable as possible.

Scheduling Your Sessions
At Timshel Counseling, we do scheduling a bit differently. To get started, please browse our therapists’ profiles to find the provider whose specialties best fit your needs. Once you’ve found the right therapist, you can contact them directly to schedule your first session.

If you need a bit more guidance or aren’t sure which therapist to reach out to, please fill out our general contact form, and the owner will get in touch with you to help connect you with the right provider.
What a Typical Session Looks Like
Every session is unique and depends on the type of therapy you are receiving. Your therapist will guide the structure to best meet your needs.
We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, with a standard session length of 50–53 minutes. Please note that session length may vary slightly depending on the therapy type or your individual treatment plan.
What We Don’t Do
Timshel Counseling does not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

“Every client’s journey is unique. We’re here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and tools to help you thrive. You have the choice to begin your healing today.”
Insurance & Payment Options
Private Pay
Choosing private pay (on a sliding scale) ensures that you receive the utmost confidentiality and personalized attention throughout your therapeutic journey. Unlike insurance-based counseling, private pay allows our counselors to focus solely on your well-being without the administrative constraints or limitations often associated with third-party payers. This means more flexible scheduling, longer sessions when needed, and access to specialized therapeutic approaches that may not be covered by insurance plans.

3. Ask about in network providers
4. Ask about your deductible for mental health services. This is the amount you must pay out of pocket before your insurance coverage begins to pay.
